Great album yet again from SADE March 7, 2010 Mette Darboe (Scotland, UK) It did'nt take long to get use to the sombre beats and soothing voice of this fantastic new album. Just love it and you wont be dissapointed if you are a Vintage Sade fan.
Has Sade lost it in the intervening years? March 7, 2010 Dr. Tucker (UK) Arrangements, so typically Sade, so superb, the production so spot-on and professional; Sade it would seem is back!
In away, it is perhaps a disappointment - one expects that Sade would not be able to produce a new CD as special and exceptional as Lover's Rock, her last album released in November 2000. But in Soldier of Love, Sade is able to reach back to those past days and bring back those haunting vocals and stirring arrangements that was her hallmark back in the 80's running into the noughties.
There is a familiarity that many will enjoy and recognise, yet there is still a new edginess in Soldier of Love that shows a new outlook or focus.
In summary, light a fire, pour yourselves a glass of good wine and sit and enjoy this new CD from Sade.
Yes, nearly thirty years on, Sade does manage to demonstrate that she still has what I takes, I Promise, despite Love Is Stronger Than Pride: E. Lynn Harris's New Novella Plus Four Novellas from Debut Authors, this Diamond Life Lovers Rock.
No The Best Of Sadehas not Lost it.

l was so pleased that Sade was bringing out a new album, but what a disappointment, l think l was expecting a soul album like her old stuff, l thought this album was very dreary and depressing.
Don't buy it if you expect to listen to the old Sade.
Sade's Triumph March 1, 2010 Mrs V Button (Leeds England) There's a heart beating and a cry running through the tracks of this cd. On top of this comes some hauntingly melodious music and Sade's silky vocals. It wraps round and envelops you. This is classy, jazzy, sensuous, atmospheric stuff. It's the best thing I've heard in ages, outstanding. To compare this with food it's like some of the most sumptuous chocolate you've ever eaten, there's variety, richness, light and dark but always smooth and always a pleasure.
Great album February 28, 2010 V. LEONTENKOV (Russia) I keep listening to this album for already 3 weeks! Great melodies and performance. Well done, Sade! Recommended.
