awesome album! August 11, 2010 jose 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm very impressed with this album, been listening to it a lot since I got it.
Fabulous August 1, 2010 L. Jones This is a fabulously groovy, bluesy record. Intense in parts, laid back and sultry in others and with a very expansive sound for a duo, this deserves to be ranked with the best albums of 2010. Play it loud and enjoy!
Down and dirty blues.. July 20, 2010 Sean (Chatham, Kent, UK) I read about this CD Album in a quality newspaper. I'm glad I looked it up! Down and dirty blues, funky, with a bit of soul; this is a really good album; if you like any of the genres mentioned, have listen, you won't be disappointed!
blackeyed keys July 19, 2010 Darren Greenall (Manchester , England) If you enjoyed the last Black Keys offering you will love this , more funkadelic but still with the dirty blues , wierdly this feels more commercial but dont panic-this can only be a good thing.I think with this release they will/should become HUGE.Buy now and you wont be disappointed.Only one track doesnt move me and its a cover -never gonna give you up--NO ITS NOT RICK ASTLEY! , just doesnt sit well with the other tracks , but then again thats just my opinion!
Different stuff July 6, 2010 A. J. B. Heath (UK) If you liked the raw and gutsy riffing/licking of Big Come up/Rubber Factory/Thickfreakness, then this ain't for you. I saw them a couple of years ago and the crowd were having a whale of a time with the older stuff, but when they played songs from Magic Potion/Attack and Release the audience stood still and bobbed from side to side a bit. Just can't bring myself round to liking this later stuff. Why have they gone so soft and processed?
